If you’re a Genshin Impact fan like me, you’ve probably been counting down the days to version 5.1, right? Well, the wait is almost over, and we’re getting some seriously exciting characters and weapons this time around. I’ll break it all down for you so you’re ready to spend those hard-earned Primogems wisely!
Release Schedule
Mark your calendars! Version 5.1 is rolling out in two phases, and each brings its own set of exciting banners.
- Phase 1: October 9 to October 29, 2024
- Phase 2: October 30 to November 19, 2024
Two phases with two sets of characters—honestly, it’s going to be hard to choose which one to pull on!
Phase 1 Banners: Xilonen and Chiori
Alright, let’s talk Phase 1. If you’ve been waiting for new faces from Natlan, here’s your chance! We’re getting Xilonen, a new 5-star Geo sword user. She’s not just your average sword-swinger; this girl is a blacksmith from Natlan, known for her insane skills and craftsmanship. People come to her from all over to get weapons made, but she’s more focused on quality than fame—totally humble and just really cool.
Her playstyle? She’s got some sweet defensive moves, and her kit is designed to support her team while also dishing out decent damage. Plus, she’s the kind of character that thrives on teamwork, so if you like strategizing, she’s perfect for you!
Xilonen’s kit highlights:
- Elemental Skill: Reduces enemy resistance based on your team’s elements. So, if you’ve got a diverse lineup, her skill really packs a punch!
- Elemental Burst: Heals the squad based on her defense stat. Yep, she’s got your back in a pinch.
And did I mention she pairs best with the new 5-star sword, Peak Patrol Song? If you’re lucky enough to pull that, you’re set.
Joining Xilonen is Chiori, another 5-star Geo sword user who’s making a comeback. If you missed her the first time, now’s your chance!
Phase 2 Banners: Nahida and Hu Tao
Moving on to Phase 2—this is where things get nostalgic for a lot of players. We’re getting reruns of two absolute fan-favorites: Nahida and Hu Tao.
Nahida – 5-Star Dendro Catalyst
Ah, Nahida. If you love those big elemental reactions, Nahida’s your girl. She’s a Dendro catalyst user who can trigger insane elemental damage combos. If you’ve been experimenting with Dendro, she’ll fit perfectly into your lineup.
Hu Tao – 5-Star Pyro Polearm
And then, of course, there’s Hu Tao. Let’s be real—she’s an icon. If you love high-risk, high-reward gameplay, she’s probably already on your radar. Hu Tao is all about timing, bursting her damage when her HP is low, and when she hits, she hits hard.
So, are you team Xilonen or team Hu Tao? Honestly, I’m torn, but that’s the beauty of Genshin—you’ve got options, and you never know what surprises are waiting in those banners.
