So, in the first phase of Version 5.1, we’ve got Xilonen and Chiori headlining the banners, but tagging along with them are some familiar faces—Dori, Candace, and Collei. These three are the 4-star stars (see what I did there?) of the banner, and they can seriously help you out, depending on what kind of team you’re building.
Here’s a quick rundown of our 4-star squad:
- Dori (Electro – Claymore)
- Role: Support/Utility
- Why she’s awesome: Dori might not be the flashiest character, but if you’ve ever run out of energy at the worst possible moment, you’ll love her. She’s got solid healing, plus her Electro abilities give your team a little extra zap when needed. She’s great for helping energy-hungry characters keep their bursts flowing—because no one likes waiting around for their ult to charge, right?
- Candace (Hydro – Polearm)
- Role: Support/Hybrid DPS
- Why she’s awesome: Candace brings some serious versatility to the table. She’s got this cool ability to buff normal attacks and infuse them with Hydro. If you like setting up Vaporize or Freeze reactions, she’s a fantastic choice. Plus, she can buff your team’s normal attack damage, making her a solid pick for melee-focused teams. She might not be the first name on everyone’s wish list, but she’s quietly brilliant in the right setup.
- Collei (Dendro – Bow)
- Role: Sub-DPS/Support
- Why she’s awesome: Collei has been around for a bit, but don’t sleep on her. She’s one of the rare Dendro characters, which makes her super valuable for setting off reactions like Bloom or Quicken. If you’re looking to trigger a bunch of Dendro reactions, she’s your go-to. Plus, her kit is straightforward and easy to integrate into most teams, especially if you’re running a Dendro core.
Should You Pull for These 4-Stars?
Let’s be honest—sometimes it feels like we’re just pulling for the 5-star characters and hoping the 4-stars don’t get in the way. But trust me, these three 4-star units can make a huge difference, especially if you’re looking for reliable supports or need some flexibility in your team.
- Dori is perfect if your team’s constantly running out of energy, or if you need a bit of healing on the side.
- Candace is the queen of Hydro reactions. If you’re a fan of Vaporize (who isn’t?), she can fit right into your team.
- Collei is still one of the best at applying Dendro, and with the growing importance of Dendro reactions in the meta, she’s definitely worth having.
Team Ideas to Maximize These Characters
- Dori fits right into any Electro team that needs a battery, like Raiden Shogun or Fischl.
- Candace is excellent for melee teams where you want to trigger Hydro reactions—pair her with Hu Tao or Ayato for some killer combos.
- Collei works wonders in Dendro reaction teams with characters like Nahida or Tighnari.
Final Thoughts
While the 5-star characters Xilonen and Chiori are obviously exciting (I mean, who doesn’t love new Geo characters?), don’t overlook the 4-stars. Dori, Candace, and Collei might not steal the spotlight, but they can be the backbone of your team, especially if you’re looking to round out your roster with solid support characters.
So, are these 4-stars worth your pulls? I’d say yes! They’re versatile, they fill crucial roles in a lot of team comps, and let’s face it—sometimes it’s the 4-stars that really save the day in tough battles.
Good luck, Travelers! May your pulls be ever in your favor.
